Franco La Porta, head of the Institute of Lotteries and Casinos of Buenos Aires, has ordered the removal of ATMs from all the gambling rooms in the Buenos Aires province.
The measure was announced during the opening of a Care Center for Compulsive Gamblers in the city of Pergamino and it plans the elimination of automatic cashiers from bingo rooms, as well as casinos, racetracks, horse agencies and Province lottery agencies.
Pursuant to this resolution, the rooms will only be allowed to have a single automatic cashier for the payment of employees’ wagers. However, they will not be in plain sight or accessible to the gambling public, according to what La Porta explained.
This is a tool that will be good for the regulations driven by the entity of Lottery and Casinos of the Province against compulsive gambling. In relation to the other care centers for compulsive players, La Porta has indicated that gambling exists and therefore they are trying to eliminate the undesirable effects.
