Fremont Street was one of the locations used in Diamonds Are Forever. There's McCarran Airport, the showroom at the old Dunes Hotel, and Fremont Street long before it had a canopy.
Watching the movie is like traveling through time. The Strip looked very different in 1971 when the film was shot. In one remarkable scene from the movie, a Bond girl gets thrown out of the Tropicana Hotel. But the pool was at the Landmark Hotel, a property that was imploded in 1995.
The actual vehicle used in the film was on display for many years at Planet Hollywood and is set to go on display in the new Planet Hollywood casino.
