MGM Mirage Inc. intends to sell its three southern Nevada casinos to Herbst Gaming Inc. for $400 million.

The casinos to be sold are the Whiskey Pete’s, Primm Valley and Buffalo Bill. The properties total 2,644 guest rooms and 136,000 square feet of casino areas. This sale would be the second in three weeks.

Las Vegas-based Herbst is one of the largest slot machine operators in Nevada. Ed Herbst, company president, said that the three casinos would perfectly fit with their company.
