Casino Monte Picayo celebrates its 30th anniversary
It will soon be established in Valencia
On February 4 Casino Monte Picayo celebrated its 30th anniversary with an exhibition. Photos and posters of celebrities who played on its facilities were showed, as well as slots and security cameras.
The Hotel and Casino Monte Picayo represented the glamour of 80s and early 90s. Nights where there were 900 to 1,000 people in the hall. Artists like Lola Flores, Sancho Gracia, Carmen Sevilla, Julio Iglesias visited it.
Last week, the Superintendent of the Chilean Casino and Games (SCG) allowed the certification and launch of two new casinos. The inauguration will see the first casino in Osorno, whose doors will open on Tuesday January 13 2009, while the Casino de Temuco will do the same the next day at seven in the evening.
The Osorno casino will be the ninth casino regulated and controlled by the SCJ to open its doors to the public, and will be followed by that of Temuco.
